What Is The Production Process Of Aluminum Profile Extrusion Machines?

Oct 18, 2023 Leave a message

Any extrusion machine must have a production process to ensure the integrity of the operation during the operation process, so what is the process of aluminum profile production?

1. Melting casting is the first process in aluminum production.

The main process of the extruder is:

(1) Ingredients: Calculate the addition amount of various alloy components based on the specific alloy grade required for production, and reasonably mix various raw materials.

(2) Melting: Add the prepared raw materials to the smelting furnace according to the process requirements for melting, and effectively remove impurities and gases from the melt through degassing and slag refining methods.

(3) Casting: The melted aluminum liquid is cooled and cast into various specifications of round cast rods through a deep well casting system under certain casting process conditions.

Copper extrusion machine

Suitable for extruding copper pipes and copper alloy pipes, rods, bars, wires, and other products.

Machine characteristics

1. The overall structure adopts a four column horizontal type with an oil tank mounted on top. It has the characteristics of new structure, neat arrangement, and convenient maintenance.

2. The movable crossbeam adopts four point positioning, adjustable center, and reasonable mold design, which can greatly reduce production costs.

3. Different extrusion processes can be set, and pipes with different apertures can be extruded using follower and fixed needle methods.

4. The hydraulic components adopt a large flow plug-in valve system, which has good sealing performance and low temperature rise.

5. The electrical components adopt PLC products, which are reliable and sensitive.

2. Squeeze

Extruder extrusion is a method of forming profiles. Firstly, design and manufacture a mold based on the cross-section of the profile product, and use an extruder to extrude the heated round cast rod from the mold. The commonly used grade 6063 alloy also undergoes an air cooling quenching process and subsequent artificial aging process during extrusion to achieve heat treatment strengthening. Different grades of heat-treatable strengthening alloys have different heat treatment systems.

3. Coloring (the main focus here is on the oxidation process)

Oxidation: Extruded aluminum alloy profiles have poor surface corrosion resistance and require surface treatment through anodizing to increase the corrosion resistance, wear resistance, and aesthetic appearance of the aluminum material.

The main process of the extruder is:

(1) Surface pretreatment: Clean the surface of profiles using chemical or physical methods to expose a pure substrate, in order to obtain a complete and dense artificial oxide film. Mirror or matte (matte) surfaces can also be obtained through mechanical means.

(2) Anodizing: After surface pretreatment, the profile undergoes anodizing on the substrate surface under certain process conditions, generating a dense, porous, and strong adsorption AL203 film layer.

(3) Extruder sealing: Seal the pores of the porous oxide film generated after anodizing, enhancing the anti pollution, corrosion resistance, and wear resistance of the oxide film. The oxide film is colorless and transparent, and utilizes the strong adsorption of the oxide film before sealing to adsorb and deposit some metal salts within the membrane pores.
